Doug Tisdale
Your Once and Future Mayor
Steady, Proven Leadership to Protect
“The Town That Cares”
For nearly 40 years, it has been my profound honor to call Cherry Hills Village home. This is where my family grew up, where our children explored our beautiful open spaces and trails, and where we built deep-rooted friendships.
Cherry Hills Village is truly “The Town That Cares!” That’s what makes us the best suburb of America to live in: our heart, our philanthropy, our leadership.
Maintaining that elite standard of safety, security, privacy, and community heart takes deliberate, experienced leadership. I am running to return as your Mayor to provide the steady executive guidance required to protect our neighborhoods and residents over the next two years.
My guiding principles are simple: Communicate. Collaborate. Cooperate.
Return Doug Tisdale as Your Mayor and we will continue to protect and serve “The Town That Cares!”

Priorities
-
Pillar 1: Enhancing Public Safety & Cellular Service
The ongoing corporate phase-out of traditional home landlines by Lumen/CenturyLink is an urgent safety risk for our neighborhoods. If our cell signal drops during a regional grid failure, our connection to emergency 911 services drops with it.
The Solution: A Municipal Satellite Resilency Initiative
I am proposing an immediate Municipal Satellite Resiliency Initiative to be adopted by City Council. By deploying low-Earth orbit satellite infrastructure at existing municipal sites, we will work together to create neighborhood safety Wi-Fi hubs. This establishes a flawless communication safety net—with absolutely zero cell towers built in your backyards.
-
Pillar 2: Preserving Local Autonomy & Quality of Life
Over the past several legislative sessions, we have seen unprecedented attempts at state-level interference aimed at stripping away municipal land-use authority.
The Solution: Defend Local Control
I am fully committed to working with our City Council to defend our strict local Zoning Code without state interference. We must protect our beautiful dedicated Open Spaces, maintain our historic trail systems, and fiercely guard the privacy, security, and semi-rural nature that defines our Village.
-
Pillar 3: Supporting Our Age-Advantaged Adults
Our senior residents are the foundation of “The Town That Cares.” We must ensure they have structural and community support to age in place comfortably.
The Solution: Strengthen Services and Support
I will work with City Council to maximize local municipal resources to facilitate, foster, and expand meaningful, rewarding, and safe services for our older residents—ensuring their lives in the Village remain productive and secure by serving as a clearing house and facilitator.
